SAFESPORT
Safesport is what also requires ALL coaches, referees, and Administrators (volunteers, key club personel, board members, etc) to be background checked and safesport trained/certified every year.
If your club has individuals as below, they need to be an Admin so they are background checked and certified:
- Adults who have regular contact with Athletes who are minors
- Adults at Clubs who have regular contact with Athletes who are minors, and are so designated by the Club
- Any other individual that a Club formally authorizes, approves or appoints (a) to a position of authority over, or (b) to have regular contact with any Athlete not already listed above and so designated by the Club
- Club Board members and administrators of Clubs
- Someone who is an authority figure (or may be perceived as one)
- Team Manager
- Team Parent
- Runs the socials at the field on game day
- Anyone in similar roles
